About our Bed & Breakfast

The five acres surrounding Millstone Manor have been in the family for almost 75 years. Originally a potato farm, the original farm house still stands across the Millstone River, which runs just behind Millstone Manor.

Beaver moved into the area about 30 years ago and, because of them, the Bed & Breakfast property now enjoys a wonderful eco-system that includes a pond and abundant wildlife. Relax in one of the Adirondack chairs and watch the Canadian Geese, Mallard Ducks, Blue Heron, Bald Eagles, otters, frogs, trout, painted turtles and, of course, beaver!

The Manor House itself was built completely out of second-growth lumber, felled and milled right on the property. Steve did most of the work on the house himself – a work of art and an ongoing labour of love.

Most of the antiques that fill the accommodations were family heirlooms, many over 100 years old and brought right from England when Steve’s great grandparents moved their young family to Victoria. Together with Audrey’s knack for decorating and collecting, the overall effect is one of warmth and welcome.

A guided tour through the property and surrounding forest is just one of the little extras that will make you feel pampered and special! Relax…..enjoy…
